2018: My crazy year 我的疯狂2018

I know it is already late to write a year review for 2018, I wasn’t planning to, but since I just came back from China, due to jet lag, I have some extra sleeping time that can be utilized.

In short, 2018 is a crazy year for me, I did absolutely not expecting the year to run like this, now looking back, my heart is filled with joy and proudness. What happened in 2018?

我知道现在写2018年的总结已经太晚了，其实我没有打算花时间写，但是最近还在倒时差，因为睡不着而赚了几个小时。

总的来说，2018对我来说是疯狂的一年，其实年初的时候并没有计划把2018活成疯狂的一年，现在回头看看，我的内心充满了开心和骄傲。2018年到底发生了些什么？

I changed jobs like crazy 我疯狂地换工作

I changed my employer in February and in October in 2018, for Belgian workplace and also for my own standard, it is extremely frequent. To be honest, I am not a job hopper, I just got great opportunities and luck in 2018.

我分别在2018年2月和10月都换了雇主，对比利时或者是对我自己的标准来说，这都算太勤了。其实说实话我并不是一个跳槽狂，我只是在这一年比较幸运而且得到了一些机会而已。

In Feb, I joined the workplace (Telenet) I have already been happily working for more than 2 years since late 2015, it was a natural move after years of consulting in Altran. In September, I got contacted by an inspiring manager with whom I worked together before, eventually, she managed to convince me to join her new project, it was a bold and exciting move.

二月份我加入了已经很满意地工作了两年多的一个客户，当地的一个电信公司，其实对于顾问公司的员工来说，这是很自然的一步棋。九月份的时候，一个和我一起共事过，并让我非常崇拜的经理联系我希望我加入她的新项目，而最终我被软磨硬磨竟然同意了，这真是一个非常大胆并且令人激动的举动。

I studied like crazy 我疯狂地学习

I followed weekly French lessons until August, my French is still not perfect, but I have got to know different people and utilized my Saturdays for fulfilling purposes.

从年初到八月份我每周都在上法语课，似乎遇到了瓶颈，很难再提高了，所以我的法语并不是很棒，但是我在这一年里认识了很多人，而且每周六的时间能够被好好利用起来是一件很幸福的事。

In May I finally got accepted by VUB (University of Brussels) for the master of management program I have been trying to get in since 2016, it was great news, courses would start in September, in the meantime, it is also scary because it affects my schedule dramatically. 五月份的时候我终于拿到了布鲁塞尔自由大学管理项目的录取通知书，我从2016年就开始申请了，所以这是一个大号的消息，9月开课，当时心里又激动又害怕，不知道自己是否可以应对因为新的课程会很大影响我的作息时间。关于重回学校的更多信息，请看这里：重回比利时学校

Time flies! The first semester is already finishing, courses were from September until December, intensive but manageable, January is the exam period, I plan to study the whole Sunday today.

不知不觉第一学期就已经完了！课程从9月到12月底，虽然繁重但是还可以应付，现在一月份正是考试期间，今天是周天，我打算都用来复习。

I traveled like crazy  我疯狂地旅行

We planned lots of travel destinations for 2018 since April, we told others that we would like to travel as much as possible before we got really busy. People were smiling, and nodding, “Yes it’s indeed time for babies”, actually we meant to say，starting from September, my study schedule wouldn’t allow me to travel willingly, as the price of traveling during school holidays could be twice higher than usual.

我们从2018年4月份就开始计划整个一年的旅行行程，我们告诉朋友们说我们想要变得忙起来之前尽量多地旅行。大家都笑笑并点头说 “是的，是该生小孩了” 其实我们的意思是，我9月份开始上课以后就不能随时随地出行了，而且学校放假期间，价格也是平常的两倍。

In 2018 in total, we went for 3 road trips, 12 new cities, 14 one-way flights，10 Airbnb, and loads of budget spent on the road. All the destinations were where we would like to go, especially the places where we could visit our old friends, the most unforgettable attraction is Chernobyl.

说起疯狂，2018年我们一共经历了3次开车公路旅行，去了12个新城市，乘坐了14趟飞机✈️，订了10个爱彼迎酒店，花了一大笔金子。其实所游览的所有地方都是我们想要去而一直没有时间去得地方，特别是有老朋友的地方。最难忘的景点？30多年前的爆炸了的核电站， 切尔诺贝利–世界末日到过的地方

To summarise, life in 2018 is filled with challenges and opportunities, the decisions made in 2018 create more challenges for 2019 which requires great effort.

最后简单总结一下，2018年我收获的是挑战和机遇， 2018年做的很多长远的决定也会给2019年带来挑战，需要更加努力才行。
